These are pretty good. Sometimes they don't immediately work, which is frustrating because the one light and two buttons don't give you a lot to work with. However, when they work, they do a fine job. The earbuds are the only ones I've ever used that stay in my ears when I run. The sound quality is pretty mediocre, but not having to re-insert my headphones every 10 steps is worth the sacrifice.

I've really started to grow attached to this thing. 16GB isn't too bad... I can put some TV shows on there, and still have room for several playlists and lots of podcasts. It's thinner than the iPhone. My favorite part, which I did not anticipate, is having the ability to get on the web with Safari in a tiny device. It came in handy at the airport when I didn't feel like pulling out my whole laptop, and it's nice to be able to have it at the side of your bed to read rss feeds or whatever before going to sleep.

I purchased this mouse a few months ago, returned it, and just purchased it again today. The reason for the HID flip-floppery is that as far as I can tell, every other mouse on the market stinks. This one appears to stink the least.

I really enjoyed this book, although parts of it annoyed me. It's an interesting approach on life, and a definite wake-up call for people who work too much. Biggest takeways: 1) The notion of "deferred life" - what you're basically doing if you're working hard for the sake of a comfortable retirement. 2) If you were retired right now, what would you be doing? How much would it cost? The types of things that are really important/interesting to you might not even be that expensive. 3) There are a lot of creative ways you can cut back on work without cutting back on income. You waste a lot of your day working on things that aren't important.
